PayGlocal, a fintech platform, has raised $4.9 million in a Series A fundraising round headed by Sequoia Capital India, with BeeNext, Jitendra Gupta, and Amrish Rau participating.
The cash will be used to develop the merchant and partner ecosystem, scale up the product, and hire more people.
Prachi Dharani, Rohit Sukhija, and Yogesh Lokhande founded the company in 2021. PayGlocal provides merchants with end-to-end payment processing, risk management, and a global stack for collecting payments, allowing them to take payments from customers all around the world.
“Indian merchants are facing challenges in accepting payments from an exponentially growing global consumer base as the current payment solutions aren’t exactly designed to process their payments made via cards issued abroad,” said Prachi Dharani, cofounder and CEO of PayGlocal. “Our payment solution helps Indian merchants to collect payments from international customers through bank cards very seamlessly,” continued Dharani.
