DesignX, a startup focused on digital transformation in the manufacturing sector, has successfully raised $1 million in pre-Series A funding from Piper Serica Angel Fund. This new investment follows a $300,000 equity round in 2021, backed by Modular Capital, Accel, and industry veterans.
Founded by engineers Rajat Srivastava and Nishant Srivastava, DesignX is on a mission to revolutionize manufacturing shop floors with hyper-automation. Its flagship product, the Df-OS platform, leverages real-time data analytics to boost productivity, reduce waste, and lower carbon footprints across industries such as automotive, FMCG, and consumer electronics.
DesignX aims to transform the manufacturing landscape with minimal infrastructure costs, similar to the widespread impact of UPI and 4G technologies. The new funding will support the company’s expansion into key global markets like APAC, Japan, and Europe, with a focus on sustainability and AI-driven analytics.
“We started with a vision that has now evolved into a powerful product that can redefine global manufacturing,” said Rajat Srivastava, CEO and Co-Founder. “This funding will help accelerate awareness and adoption of our solutions.”
Nishant Srivastava, CTO and Co-Founder, added, “This investment will strengthen our ability to advance manufacturing technology and further enhance the performance of our Df-OS platform.”
With a decade-long focus on Industry 4.0, DesignX has already partnered with major companies like Unilever, Hero MotoCorp, and Dabur. The company’s Df-OS platform offers a flexible and cost-effective solution, making it a key player in India’s manufacturing revolution.
Ajay Modi, Investment Director at Piper Serica, highlighted, “DesignX’s deep understanding of manufacturing processes and its innovative platform positions it to lead the way in the digital transformation of factories.”
With the factory process application market valued at $34 billion annually, DesignX aims to capture up to 50% of the market over the next 7 to 10 years, positioning itself as a key player in the future of manufacturing.
