Beyond Odds Technologies, the parent company behind Emversity — a pioneering skill-development platform — has raised $5 million in a pre-Series A funding round. The investment was led by Lightspeed and Z47, with additional backing from Alteria Capital and Innoven Capital.
Founded by Vivek Sinha, the former Chief Operating Officer of Unacademy, Beyond Odds Technologies launched in April 2024 with a $11 million seed round led by Matrix Partners India and Lightspeed. The company has quickly grown, currently operating across 36 campuses in 18 states, and is on track to expand to 75+ campuses by the end of the current financial year.
Transforming Grey-Collar Workforce Training
Emversity focuses on upskilling the grey-collar workforce by delivering industry-integrated training across high-demand sectors such as healthcare, travel, and hospitality. Through its flagship division, the Emversity School of Allied Health Sciences, students receive hands-on training for critical healthcare roles like nurses, paramedics, lab technicians, and caregivers.
The newly introduced Emversity School of Hospitality partners with top hotel chains to train students in culinary skills, room operations, and food and beverage services, aligning education with real-world employment needs.
Employer-Integrated Learning Model
Emversity’s unique training approach combines industry-designed curriculum, on-the-job internships, and employer-sponsored stipends to make education both job-relevant and accessible. This ensures that graduates are employment-ready from day one.
The platform runs two core academic pathways:
-
SMART (Skilled Manpower Accelerated Ready Training)
-
EDGE (Employability Driven Graduate Education)
These programs offer vocational and honors degree options in collaboration with reputed higher education institutions. Each track integrates practical training, classroom education, and guaranteed job placement opportunities.
