Sadhav Offshore Raises ₹25 Crore to Launch India’s Much-Needed Floating Dry Dock Facility

Sadhav Offshore, a leading maritime services company in India, has successfully secured ₹25 crore in an equity funding round led by the Negen Undiscovered Value Fund, with participation from prominent family offices and high-net-worth individuals (HNIs). This strategic capital infusion is set to propel the company’s ambitious expansion into India’s underserved ship repair infrastructure.

Expansion Aimed at Strengthening India’s Maritime Ecosystem

The fresh funds will be primarily utilized to establish a floating dry dock facility, a critical addition to India’s marine repair capabilities. Floating dry docks are essential for servicing ship components that lie below the waterline—supporting maintenance, repairs, and inspections that are otherwise challenging while afloat.

Sadhav Offshore currently services a diverse fleet of vessels, including more than 70% of the Indian Coast Guard’s Fast Patrol Vessels (FPVs) along the eastern coast. The company also operates a well-established repair hub at Paradip Port, showcasing a robust track record of servicing both domestic and international clients such as Svitzer-Maersk.

Strategic Collaborations and National Alignment

In collaboration with industry leaders like Kongsberg Maritime, Sadhav Offshore offers specialized servicing for propulsion systems, reinforcing its technical depth and commitment to maritime excellence. This expansion aligns seamlessly with the Sagarmala Initiative and Maritime India Vision 2030, two flagship programs aimed at transforming India’s maritime sector through modernization and capacity building.

Bridging the Gap in India’s Ship Repair Infrastructure

India currently faces a significant shortfall in dry dock infrastructure, often compelling commercial and defence vessels to seek repair solutions overseas. Sadhav Offshore’s new facility promises to bridge this gap by offering reliable, local dry dock services, thereby minimizing turnaround time, cutting operational costs, and enhancing overall fleet readiness.

With this expansion, Sadhav Offshore is poised to play a pivotal role in making India a self-reliant hub for maritime maintenance and repair, contributing to national security and commercial shipping efficiency.
