Foster, who spent seven and a half years at Sportsbet, steps into the new role of CIO. He has previously served as the general manager for customer experience delivery and general manager of enterprise technology.
Before joining Sportsbet, Foster worked at Sensis, an advertising services company based in Australia. During his tenure there, he held various managerial positions, including group manager of IT operations. Prior to that, he served as the IT manager for Sensis Classifieds, overseeing online classified systems. Additionally, he had a brief stint at Infosys, a digital services and consulting firm.
Expressing his excitement in a LinkedIn post, Foster described himself as “excited, thrilled, and privileged” to take on the new role at Sportsbet. He remarked, “Sportsbet is an amazing organization to be a part of.” Reflecting on his previous seven years, he expressed fulfillment on both personal and professional levels, calling it a dream come true to oversee the current technological capabilities.
Acknowledging Foster’s familiarity with the business, Sportsbet stated, “Michael is no stranger to our business; he has held a number of senior technology leadership roles with us since 2016.” With over 20 years of experience in IT roles across various industries, Michael brings a wealth of technical leadership expertise to the CIO position. Sportsbet expressed excitement about having him join the executive team.
