Delhi-based astrology startup Vaya has raised $1.5 million in funding in a round led by Accel, Arkam Ventures, and Weekend Fund, with participation from notable angel investors including Sumer Juneja and Sarthak Mishra of SoftBank India. The investment will help the startup expand its team, enhance its AI-driven technology, and build a trusted network of Vedic astrology professionals targeting India’s growing mass-premium audience.
AI Meets Vedic Astrology
Founded in 2025 by Maahin Puri and Nitesh Kumar Niranjan, Vaya is leveraging artificial intelligence to modernize how astrological services are delivered. By automating complex astrological calculations, Vaya’s platform enables astrologers to focus on delivering meaningful insights, improving the overall quality and speed of consultations.
Scalable Pay-Per-Minute Model
Vaya currently operates with a team of 11 in-house astrologers and offers services through a pay-per-minute model, with consultation bundles ranging from five to forty minutes. This pricing structure allows users to access personalized astrology services at flexible price points, making it appealing to the urban mass-premium segment.
Rapid Growth in Urban India
In just two months since its launch, Vaya has attracted 30,000 to 40,000 users, primarily from metro cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. The platform is also preparing to expand its reach to non-resident Indian (NRI) audiences in key international markets, including the US and Canada, where demand for culturally rooted wellness and guidance services is steadily rising.
Competitive Landscape
Vaya enters a competitive but growing segment of the astrology-tech market. It faces strong competition from established players such as:
-
Astrotalk, which secured $14 million in funding in 2023
-
InstaAstro
-
GaneshaSpeaks
-
Click Astro
-
Astroyogi
-
Bodhi
Vaya’s focus on AI integration, premium experience, and curated astrologer networks may offer a differentiated edge in this space.
Strategic Vision
With its latest funding, Vaya aims to further invest in product development, hire top talent, and scale its trusted network of astrologers to ensure consistent, high-quality experiences. The startup is tapping into a rising demand for digital-first spiritual and wellness services—especially among urban and global Indian audiences seeking personalized, culturally relevant guidance.
