The Ethereum Push Notification Service (EPNS), based in Mumbai and recognised for its web3 push notifications, has raised $10.1 million in Series A funding, valued at $131 million. Jump Crypto led the round, which included Tiger Global, Sino Global Capital, Polygon Studios, and Zee Prime Capital, as well as 25 additional investors.
With this, EPNS has now raised a total of $11.42 million in investment. Balaji Srinivasan (angel investor and former CTO of Coinbase), Binance Labs, and Mariano Conti of Maker Foundation were among the 35 investors who contributed $1.4 million in seed fundraising.
Richa Joshi and Harsh Rajat created EPNS in April 2020 to create an open communication layer for the Web3 ecosystem. The protocol allows any smart contracts, dApps, or standard servers to broadcast notifications related to user wallet addresses in a platform-agnostic manner.
According to Harsh Rajat, conversations with investors for the fundraise began in mid-November 2021, and the agreement was finalised in January 2022. Rajat, on the other hand, claimed that the paperwork took a little longer.
