21K School, India’s first online-only school, just raised $5 million in a pre-Series A financing led by Ronnie Screwvala, Co-Founder and Chairman of upGrad.
Santosh Kumar, Yeshwanth Raj Parasmal, Dinesh Kumar, and Joshi Kumar founded 21K School in 2020 with the goal of creating a 100% online school that offers children aged 3 to 18 years a choice of three curricula: Indian, American, and British.
Over 2,750 students from over 400 places in India and 23 other countries are studying at the edtech startup.
Speaking on the investment Ronnie Screwvala, said, “The future of education is here, and it’s changing the way we think about schooling. 21K School will offer great value to students while disrupting traditional schools in its own space with interactive technologies that engage learners on every level of development. I am excited to support Santosh and Yeshwanth as they aim to expand within India and internationally.”
