Bengaluru-based short-video app Chingari on Monday announced the closing of $15 million in Series A extension round.
The funding will be used to improve technology, create new services, and expand the tech staff, according to the site.
The app’s live-streaming, socio-commerce, and voice chat functions will be available soon.
Since April 2021, Chingari has seen a two-fold increase in its user base, with over 110 million downloads. By the end of the year, the short-video-making software hopes to have 200 million users.
“This new funding will further strengthen our position and help us deliver an immersive user experience for our community,” said Sumit Ghosh, Co-founder and CEO, Chingari.
