Krishify, a rural social network, has raised USD 6.2 million in Pre-Series A funding from Omnivore, an agritech venture capital firm, as well as current investors Ankur Capital, Omidyar Network India, and Orios Venture Partners.
Krishify, based in Gurugram, was formed by IIT grads Rajesh Ranjan, Manish Agrawal, and Avinash Kumar in 2019. Rajesh formerly worked for Analytics Vidhya as a Product Manager and co-founded Instano, a virtual shopping mobile app that was later bought by MagicTiger. Manish had previously worked at Rivigo as a Senior Engineer, and Avinash had previously been a UPSC candidate.
The Gurugram-based business intends to use the funds to expand across India and refine its technology for a better user experience in the agriverse.
