Cuemath, an online math tutoring platform, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $57 million (about Rs 438 crore) in a fundraising round led by Alpha Wave, bringing the company’s valuation to $407 million.
Lightrock, Alpha Wave Incubation, Sequoia Capital India, CapitalG (previously Google Capital), and Manta Ray are among Cuemath’s investors. Existing investors took part in the new round as well.
Cuemath is a technology-driven after-school math learning programme for children founded in 2013 by Manan Khurma.
The new monies will be utilised to improve product-pedagogy outcomes, expansion efforts, acquisitions, and collaborations, among other things. Cuemath currently operates in over 70 countries and plans to expand to over 100 by FY23. This involves expanding its footprint in North America, Asia-Pacific, the United Kingdom, Europe, and West Asia, as well as conquering African and South American markets.
