Shinami Raises $5.645 Million in Seed Funding

Shinami, a premier developer platform for Move-based blockchains, including Aptos, Sui, and Movement, has successfully closed a $5.645 million seed funding round. The round was led by Race Capital, with additional investments from 6th Man Ventures, Coinbase, Circle, and Mysten Labs. The Aptos Foundation also contributed an undisclosed amount, further bolstering Shinami’s growth.

Building the “Consensys for Move”
Shinami is positioning itself as the go-to platform for developers in the Move ecosystem. Dubbed the “Consensys for Move,” the platform delivers a robust suite of tools and services, including user-friendly APIs, advanced developer tooling, and in-depth documentation.

Key highlights of Shinami’s offerings include:

Node Service: Powers billions of on-chain reads every month for hundreds of applications.
Gas Station: Sponsors over 100 million transactions, streamlining blockchain interactions for developers and users.
Wallet Services: Supports over 2 million monthly active users, enhancing accessibility and scalability.
These innovations simplify application development on Move-based blockchains and drive widespread adoption across the ecosystem.

Vision Backed by Expertise
“Our experience creating developer platforms at companies like Twilio, Microsoft, and Alchemy, combined with our early belief in Move, informs how we support builders across the entire ecosystem,” said Nikhil Chari, Co-founder and CEO of Shinami. “This funding enables us to expand our infrastructure and tools, empowering developers to deliver better user experiences on Aptos, Sui, and Movement.”

Strengthening the Move Ecosystem
In a move to further support blockchain innovation, Shinami has joined the Move Collective, a collaborative effort to advance the Move programming language and its ecosystem. This partnership underscores Shinami’s dedication to fostering growth and innovation in the space while helping developers scale their applications on Move-based networks.
