ShopDeck Raises $8 Million in Series B Funding to Boost D2C Solutions

ShopDeck, a Bengaluru-based software provider specializing in D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) solutions, has secured $8 million in Series B funding. The investment round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners and saw participation from Elevation Capital, Chiratae Ventures, and General Catalyst.

Utilization of Funds

ShopDeck aims to utilize the newly raised capital to:

  • Expand its talent pool by hiring top-tier professionals
  • Enhance product offerings to provide more comprehensive solutions for D2C brands
  • Explore new experimental projects to drive innovation

Rishabh Verma, Co-founder of ShopDeck, stated:

“We will hire a much higher quality team and invest in the product and, of course, (utilize funds) for new experiments.”

From E-commerce to D2C Enablement

Founded in 2022 by Rishabh Verma and Harmin Shah, the former founders of WMall, ShopDeck pivoted from their previous e-commerce venture to focus on helping D2C brands establish and optimize their online presence.

“We wrapped up that business in 2022 and pivoted to this model (ShopDeck) from scratch. We help merchants in not only setting up the storefront but also optimizing the storefront and help them sell D2C profitably,” Verma explained.

Comprehensive D2C Support

ShopDeck offers a range of services tailored for D2C brands, including:

  • Website creation and customization
  • Catalog management
  • Marketing and pricing strategy support

The platform primarily collaborates with brands in design-centric categories such as fashion, apparel, jewelry, merchandise, and home and kitchen products.

Empowering New Brands

ShopDeck has significantly contributed to the growth of emerging D2C brands, with 90% of its clients launching products for the first time.

“ShopDeck has built 500 brands from scratch in some way to be able to sell via their website in the last two years,” Verma noted.

Notable Collaborations

The startup has partnered with well-known brands like JerseyKart, Rizik, ichaa, AS Platinum, and Fargo, helping them establish successful online storefronts.
