Nuvie Raises $450K in Pre-Seed Round to Revolutionize Healthy Eating in India

Bengaluru-based food and beverage (F&B) startup Nuvie has successfully raised $450,000 (approximately ₹3.8 crore) in its maiden pre-seed funding round. The round was led by startup accelerator PedalStart, with key participation from renowned entrepreneurs and investors including Mukesh Bansal (Founder of Myntra, Cult.fit, and Nurix), Ayyappan R, Chanakya Gupta, and Arun Sharma.

Strategic Growth Plans

The freshly raised capital will be used to accelerate new product development, brand building, content creation, distribution expansion, and to fuel the company’s growth trajectory.

Founded in May 2024 by Prashant Paliwal and Hem Narayan, Nuvie is on a mission to redefine healthy eating in India with its “better-for-you” product range. The startup focuses on offering nutritious alternatives that are both delicious and accessible, aiming to remove the stigma and rigidity often associated with health-focused foods.

Innovative Product Portfolio

Nuvie has already made a strong market entry with its lactose-free Ready-to-Drink Protein Shake, available in three flavors. Building on this momentum, the company is now introducing five new shake variants. Its upcoming product lineup includes:

  • Protein Chocolate Bars – A healthier take on traditional chocolates.

  • Protein-Infused Cold Coffee (Proffee) – A blend of protein and caffeine for health-conscious coffee lovers.

Rapid Market Expansion

Nuvie’s products have gained quick acceptance and are now available in over 100 premium retail stores across major Indian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai. The brand has also partnered with over 200 gyms and expanded its presence on leading quick commerce platforms like Blinkit, Instamart, and BigBasket. Additionally, the company is focusing on strengthening its direct-to-consumer (D2C) channels through its own website and online delivery networks.

Impressive Early Growth

Since its launch, Nuvie has reported robust early traction, achieving monthly revenues exceeding ₹10 lakh from its very first month. The startup is now targeting an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of ₹10 crore by the end of calendar year 2025.
