Vadodara, India — Genexis Biotech, a fast-growing bio-manufacturing startup, has raised ₹4 crore in a seed funding round led by GVFL, with additional participation from Benzai10. The funding will accelerate the company’s scale-up efforts in precision fermentation and help drive innovation in animal-origin-free recombinant proteins and enzymes.
The newly raised capital will be used to expand bioreactor capacity, build robust downstream processing infrastructure, and launch a broader portfolio of recombinant biomolecules. The funds will also support compliance upgrades, as well as the enhancement of sales and distribution capabilities.
Genexis Biotech specializes in developing animal-free recombinant proteins through precision fermentation. Its products cater to high-growth sectors such as biopharmaceuticals, food-tech, and cell culture media. The company currently operates a certified Class 10,000 cleanroom facility and is setting up a GMP-compliant manufacturing unit to meet global standards.
Among its offerings are recombinant peptidases, including amino peptidase and enterokinase. The company is also preparing to launch recombinant transferrin and recombinant albumin, widely used in therapeutic and research applications.
