Citi Appoints Tahany Taher as UAE Head of Treasury and Trade Solutions & Corporate, Commercial & Public Sector Sales

Citi has announced the appointment of Tahany Taher as the new Head of Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) and Corporate, Commercial & Public Sector Sales (CCPS) for the United Arab Emirates (UAE). She will report directly to Vivek Vaidyanathan, TTS & CCPS Head for the Middle East and Pakistan.

In her new role, Taher will spearhead the development and execution of Citi’s TTS strategy in the UAE, with a sharp focus on business expansion, enhancing client experience, risk and controls management, and regulatory engagement. This leadership transition underscores Citi’s strategic emphasis on empowering local talent to deliver impactful client outcomes across the region.

Tahany Taher brings over 19 years of diverse banking experience, covering Corporate and Commercial Banking, Private & Wealth Banking, and Banking Operations across major financial institutions in the UAE. Prior to her current appointment, she served as Head of Corporate & Commercial Banking (CCB) for Citi UAE since September 2024. In that role, she led initiatives supporting mid-sized businesses across sectors, advancing Citi’s strategy, and delivering comprehensive product solutions to clients.

Taher is widely recognized for her success in business development, client engagement, and governance excellence, making her a natural fit to lead Citi’s UAE TTS and CCPS operations.
