Siemens and Capgemini Expand Strategic Partnership to Build AI-Native Digital Solutions for Industry Transformation

Siemens AG and Capgemini have announced an expansion of their long-standing strategic partnership to co-develop AI-native digital solutions designed to revolutionize product engineering, manufacturing, and operations. Unlike traditional tools that integrate AI as an add-on, these new solutions will embed artificial intelligence at their core from inception — driving measurable impact across efficiency, sustainability, quality, and innovation.

The collaboration focuses on 16 high-impact capability areas, combining Siemens’ expertise in industrial software, automation, electrification, and sustainability with Capgemini’s deep capabilities in engineering, industry knowledge, and business transformation. The goal is to accelerate clients’ digital transformation journeys through next-generation automation, industrial AI, and digital twins.

Driving Integration Between IT and Operational Systems

Through this partnership, Siemens and Capgemini aim to address long-standing challenges in unifying IT and OT (operational technology) environments. By leveraging frontier technologies, the two companies will introduce AI-native assets that complement Siemens’ digital industry solutions — such as orchestrated AI agents that enhance collaboration across engineering, production, and maintenance teams.

Cedrik Neike, CEO of Digital Industries and Member of the Managing Board at Siemens AG, said:

“For our customers, Capgemini is like a compass – deeply familiar with our customers’ challenges and ambitions. Siemens provides the engine: technologies like industrial AI, digital twins, and automation. Together, we guide our customers through their digital transformation with speed, precision, and a clear course toward the future.”

Aiman Ezzat, CEO of Capgemini Group, added:

“By combining our strengths, our ambition is to help clients navigate complexity and realize tangible business impact, setting new benchmarks for operational efficiency. As a leader in bridging the gap between the physical and digital worlds, we enable clients to transform their engineering and manufacturing operations at speed. This strengthened partnership underscores a shared commitment to delivering industrial AI and future-ready intelligent manufacturing, creating new value for industries.”

Delivering Real-World Impact Across Global Industries

The Siemens–Capgemini collaboration is already delivering measurable business outcomes across leading global organizations:

  • Airbus: The two companies are supporting Airbus’ decarbonization goals across four industrial sites in the U.S. and U.K., targeting a 20% reduction in energy consumption and an 85% cut in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030. Siemens’ energy system twins simulate and identify optimal decarbonization measures, while Capgemini provides consulting, project management, and implementation support.

  • Sanofi: Siemens and Capgemini are helping standardize Sanofi’s manufacturing operations by accelerating the global rollout of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). With Generative AI, the initiative is eliminating paper-based batch records, cutting review time by 70%, reducing deviations by 80%, and setting new industry benchmarks for efficiency and compliance.

  • GravitHy: The French iron and hydrogen company is leveraging Siemens–Capgemini’s joint expertise to digitalize industrial processes, improving agility and operational efficiency. The partnership has enabled GravitHy to reduce hydrogen production costs by up to 10%, aligning with Europe’s broader energy transition goals.

Accelerating Industrial AI for the Future

The global joint initiative will focus on key industries including aerospace, automotive, and life sciences, while expanding into emerging markets like hydrogen and water/wastewater management. To support this growth, Capgemini will expand its pool of certified Siemens technology experts across multiple industries and countries.

Building on a two-decade collaboration, Siemens and Capgemini already serve over 100 clients across 20 countries through an integrated go-to-market model. This strengthened alliance reinforces their shared vision to advance industrial AI adoption, enhance operational efficiency, and create new value across the global manufacturing landscape.
