SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 2025 — Wispr, the fast-growing voice-to-text AI startup redefining how people interact with technology, has raised a $25 million Series A Extension led by Notable Capital, with participation from Flight Fund, the investment arm of entrepreneur and Diary of a CEO host Steven Bartlett. The fresh infusion comes just months after Wispr’s $30 million Series A, pushing its total funding to $81 million and marking a period of explosive momentum: 40% month-over-month growth in both users and ARR.
Wispr is building voice-first AI foundation models designed to pave the way for a future where speech—not typing—becomes the primary interface for human-computer interaction. Its technology powers Flow, the company’s flagship product, already used daily across 25,000+ apps and websites, helping users convert thoughts into polished text with unprecedented accuracy and speed.
Reimagining Voice as the Core Interface
While big tech voice systems have stagnated, offering unreliable or inconsistent experiences across devices, Wispr is pushing voice technology far beyond traditional dictation tools.
Tanay Kothari, co-founder and CEO of Wispr, said:
“Voice never reached its potential because the industry treated it as a feature instead of an interface. We’re designing a system to make speech a primary mode of computing so people can work at the speed of thought. The strong investor interest just months after our last raise shows how powerful this vision is and enables us to scale even faster.”
The new funding will accelerate hiring across engineering and product teams, expand Flow’s capabilities, and push forward the development of Wispr’s voice-native OS layer.
Investors Back a Bold Computing Future
The round is led by Hans Tung, Managing Partner at Notable Capital — a 13-time Forbes Midas Lister known for early bets on Airbnb, Affirm, Coinbase, Slack, Anthropic, TikTok, and other category-defining companies.
Tung joins Wispr as a board observer and shared:
“Wispr is tackling one of the most ambitious challenges in technology: reimagining the primary interface between humans and machines. Their vision and craftsmanship set them apart. We believe Wispr is building the foundation for a new generation of AI-driven interfaces.”
Steven Bartlett, who also joins as a strategic partner, added:
“Voice is the natural interface for human thought, but typing has been the bottleneck. With AI now understanding nuance and intention in speech, Wispr is positioned to reshape how we work. The Flow team has the intellectual depth and technical precision to define the next era of productivity.”
Global Partnership with “The Diary of a CEO”
The investment also launches a global year-long partnership between Wispr and The Diary of a CEO, one of the world’s top 10 podcasts with over 1 billion streams. The collaboration will span podcast, video, and digital content to highlight the rise of voice as the next major tech interface.
Flow: The Voice Product That’s Transforming Productivity
Wispr’s flagship product Flow is rapidly becoming a staple across industries. It cleans filler words, understands context, and turns natural speech into clear, ready-to-use writing. Unlike older dictation systems:
-
90% of Flow-generated text requires no edits
-
Traditional dictation tools require edits ~90% of the time
-
After six months, Flow users write 72% of their characters through voice
With adoption skyrocketing, Flow is building a foundation for a world where people speak naturally—and technology instantly converts it into clean, structured content anywhere.
