Driving Strategic Growth in Asset Management
In his new leadership role, Andreas Anthis will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of Mashreq Capital’s strategic and tactical asset allocation frameworks. He will lead the creation of multi-asset and absolute-return investment strategies, integrating proprietary research and third-party expertise to deliver sophisticated, outcome-oriented solutions for institutional clients.

A Proven Track Record in Institutional Portfolio Management
Andreas Anthis brings a distinguished career spanning over a decade in portfolio management, macroeconomic research, systematic investing, and manager selection.
Prior to joining Mashreq Capital, Andreas spent 13 years at the Pension Protection Fund (PPF) — one of the UK’s largest pension funds — where he managed up to $10 billion in liquid strategies across Emerging Market Debt, Global Credit, Equities, Absolute Return, and Systematic Multi-Asset portfolios.
His work at PPF delivered consistent alpha generation and long-term performance resilience, while his development of macro and asset-allocation models informed strategic decisions across the firm.
Andreas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance and Mathematics from Lancaster University, along with Master’s degrees in Financial Mathematics and Actuarial Mathematics.
