HOBOKEN, New Jersey — Semperis, a cybersecurity firm focused on protecting and restoring digital identities during cyberattacks, has acquired MightyID, a startup specialising in identity security for cloud-based platforms. While the companies did not disclose financial terms, the deal is estimated to be worth around $20 million.
The acquisition strengthens Semperis’ identity resilience platform by expanding its capabilities in cloud and hybrid identity security, particularly for organisations operating Microsoft hybrid Active Directory environments.
Strengthening Identity Resilience and Crisis Response
By integrating MightyID’s technology, Semperis aims to offer customers a broader and more comprehensive set of tools to secure identities across on-premises and cloud systems. The move enhances Semperis’ ability to support enterprises not only in preventing identity-based attacks, but also in responding to and recovering from cyber incidents.
“This strategic move furthers our mission to help organizations achieve true cyber resilience,” said Mickey Bresman, Chief Executive Officer of Semperis. “Effective defense means resilience, not just prevention, so operations can continue, even under attack. This acquisition advances our leadership in identity-driven security and crisis management, helping organizations ensure mission continuity in the face of modern cyberattacks.”
Expanding Protection for Hybrid Identity Environments
Identity systems have become a primary target for cybercriminals, particularly as enterprises increasingly rely on hybrid identity architectures spanning cloud and on-premises infrastructure. Semperis’ acquisition of MightyID reflects a growing industry focus on identity-centric cybersecurity, where rapid recovery and operational continuity are as critical as threat prevention.
With MightyID’s cloud-native identity security capabilities, Semperis will be better positioned to support organisations navigating complex identity environments and rising ransomware and credential-based threats.
Growing Global Footprint and Customer Base
Semperis currently works with more than 1,000 organisations worldwide, including government agencies and over 25 percent of the top 100 companies in the United States. Its platform helps organisations protect critical identity systems and supports them through the prevention, detection, response, and recovery phases of identity-driven cyberattacks.
Founded in 2015, Semperis is headquartered in Hoboken, New Jersey. The company was established by Michael Brezman, Chief Executive Officer; Guy Teverovsky, Chief Technology Officer; and Matan Liberman, who leads business development and heads the company’s operations in Tel Aviv.
Expanding Operations in Israel
Semperis employs approximately 600 people globally, including around 150 employees in Tel Aviv. The company is continuing to expand its research and development presence in Israel, hiring across multiple roles and establishing a new office in northern Israel as part of its growth strategy.
The acquisition of MightyID and continued international expansion underline Semperis’ ambition to scale its identity resilience and crisis management capabilities as cyber threats become more sophisticated and disruptive.
