Benny’s Bowl raises $1.4 Mn in pre-Series A Funding

Pet nutrition startup Benny’s Bowl has raised $1.4 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Atomic Capital, as it looks to scale its presence in India’s fast-growing pet care market. The fresh capital will be deployed to strengthen product research and development, introduce new product lines, and expand the brand’s reach across both online and offline channels.

Founded by Akshay Gupta, Benny’s Bowl operates in the pet nutrition segment, focusing on functional as well as everyday food products designed to support long-term pet health. The company has been steadily building a portfolio that goes beyond basic nutrition, catering to evolving pet owner preferences for scientifically backed and purpose-driven diets.

In recent months, Benny’s Bowl has expanded into functional pet nutrition, launching products that address specific health needs such as gut health, allergies, renal care, skin and coat health, and weight management. These offerings are aimed at pet parents seeking targeted dietary solutions as awareness around preventive pet healthcare continues to rise.

The startup reported twofold revenue growth over the past 12 months, with 85% of its revenue coming from repeat customers, indicating strong product-market fit and customer loyalty. Benny’s Bowl is now targeting ₹100 crore in annual recurring revenue (ARR) by FY27, supported by portfolio expansion and wider distribution.

Currently, the brand sells primarily through digital platforms, including its own online channels, while simultaneously expanding its offline retail footprint to improve accessibility and visibility. As part of its growth strategy, Benny’s Bowl also plans to invest in consumer education initiatives, aiming to build greater awareness around balanced diets, functional nutrition, and long-term wellness for pets.

With rising pet ownership and increasing willingness among consumers to spend on premium and functional pet food, Benny’s Bowl is positioning itself to capture a larger share of the pet nutrition market by combining product innovation, education, and omnichannel distribution.
