Luxury villa and homestay rental platform StayVista has secured ₹40 crore (approximately $4.6 million) in a Series B funding round led by JSW Ventures, with additional participation from existing backers DSG Consumer Partners and Capri Global Family Office.
The Mumbai-based startup, founded in 2015 by Ankita Sheth, Amit Damani, and Pranav Maheshwari, plans to use the new capital to expand its footprint into new geographies, strengthen its team, and enhance supply-side services to offer better support to property owners and guests, according to a company press release.
Previously, StayVista had raised approximately $7.81 million from DSG Consumer Partners and other investors, highlighting strong continued support for its business model.
StayVista specializes in connecting property owners with travelers looking for premium vacation stays, including luxury villas, bungalows, cottages, and homestays. It partners with leading travel and accommodation platforms such as Airbnb, MakeMyTrip, Booking.com, and Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy to maximize reach and occupancy for its curated properties.
The company operates both B2C and B2B verticals. Through its B2C model, StayVista directly offers luxury vacation rentals to travelers via its website and partner platforms. In its B2B model, the company provides property management and maintenance services to homeowners, charging fees for ongoing maintenance alongside listing commissions.
Financially, StayVista reported a solid performance in FY24 with a 23.17% increase in standalone operating revenue, growing from ₹11.39 crore in FY23 to ₹14.03 crore. The company also demonstrated improved cost efficiency, reducing its net loss by 29.22% to ₹82.81 lakh, compared to a net loss of ₹1.17 crore in the previous fiscal year.
Currently, StayVista boasts a network of over 1,000 properties spread across 85 destinations, and claims to have served more than 1 million guests to date. The company faces competition from players such as Elivaas, Le Collectionist, and Edge Retreats, as the demand for luxury vacation rentals continues to grow among Indian and international travelers.
