Aimtron Electronics Limited, a global electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider headquartered in Chicago, has successfully raised ₹98.5 crore through the issue of convertible warrants. The funds will be directed toward establishing a new greenfield manufacturing facility in India, marking a significant milestone in the company’s India expansion strategy.
Strategic Investment to Fuel ‘Make in India’ Ambitions
The preferential allotment was approved by Aimtron’s board of directors and includes participation from both the promoter group and marquee investors. Among the promoters are Mukesh Vasani, CEO of Aimtron, and Nirmal Vasani, COO. The company has issued up to 14,79,000 convertible warrants, each priced at ₹666—comprising a face value of ₹10 and a premium of ₹656.
“This fundraiser accelerates our already above-average growth trajectory by enabling the creation of a future-ready manufacturing ecosystem,” said Mukesh Vasani, CEO, Aimtron Electronics.
New Facility to Drive Advanced Electronics Manufacturing
The funds raised will support the development of a greenfield manufacturing unit on 3 acres of land in India. The new facility is expected to significantly scale Aimtron’s system-level integration and box-build capabilities, with a long-term revenue goal of ₹1,000 crore.
Key infrastructure highlights include:
-
Up to 5 advanced Surface Mount Technology (SMT) lines
-
End-to-end assembly capabilities under one roof
-
Integrated support for high-mix, high-volume production
The facility will play a critical role in reducing lead times, increasing production scalability, and supporting full-spectrum electronics manufacturing solutions.
“There is a growing global shift toward value-added manufacturing from India, and Aimtron is at the forefront of this momentum,” added Nirmal Vasani, COO, Aimtron.
Supporting India’s Self-Reliant Tech Ecosystem
Aimtron’s expansion aligns with the Indian government’s ‘Make in India’ and ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ initiatives. The company aims to create a globally competitive, self-sustaining electronics ecosystem in India—equipped to cater to rising domestic and international demand.
The facility will focus on key high-growth sectors such as:
-
Aerospace and defence
-
Telecom and IoT
-
AI-driven applications
-
Automotive and medtech
This expansion will also enable deeper R&D collaboration and engineering innovation across Aimtron’s operational hubs in Vadodara, Ahmedabad, and Bengaluru.
