Takeda Appoints Hernán Porcile as EAMEA Area Head to Drive Sustainable Healthcare Growth

Dubai, UAE – Takeda, a global biopharmaceutical leader focused on research and development, has appointed Hernán Porcile as the new Area Head for the Eurasia, Middle East, and Africa (EAMEA) region. Formerly the General Manager of Takeda Mexico, Porcile officially assumed the role on July 1, 2025, and is now based in Dubai, UAE.

Porcile’s appointment marks a key step in Takeda’s mission to accelerate growth and expand access to value-based, sustainable healthcare across the dynamic EAMEA markets. In his new position, he will spearhead strategic initiatives, deepen collaboration with stakeholders, and lead innovation-driven efforts to strengthen local healthcare systems.

With a career at Takeda spanning over 15 years, Porcile began his journey in Argentina as Administration and Finance Director in 2009. His leadership journey has seen him manage operations in Mexico, Colombia, and across Latin America, contributing to the successful launch of innovative therapies for multiple myeloma, hereditary angioedema, and inflammatory bowel disease.

In addition to his commercial and financial expertise, Porcile also serves as Secretary of the Mexican Association of Pharmaceutical Research Industries (AMIIF), where he leads the Clinical Research Commission. His academic background includes a degree in Public Accounting from the University of Morón and an MBA in Strategy from the University of Belgrano, both in Argentina.
