CVector Energy Raises $1.5M Pre-Seed Funding to Build AI-First Industrial Data Infrastructure

CVector Energy, a pioneering startup developing the data backbone for industrial AI, has announced a $1.5 million pre-seed funding round led by Schematic Ventures. The funding will accelerate CVector’s mission to enable AI-native operations across factories, critical infrastructure, and advanced manufacturing environments.

Building AI-Ready Infrastructure for Industry

Founded in November 2024 by former engineers and researchers from Shell and CERN, CVector Energy is redefining how industrial systems sense, reason, and respond. Unlike legacy data stacks that were not designed for AI or rapidly changing market conditions, CVector introduces a time-series AI platform that unifies ultra-high-fidelity asset data with external signals such as energy prices, weather, and market conditions.

This integration empowers operators to make real-time, AI-powered decisions, advancing the transition toward autonomous industrial systems.

Key Features of CVector’s Industrial AI Platform

  • Plug-and-Play AI Agents: Seamlessly connect AI models for smarter operations.

  • Hybrid Physics-Informed Models: Blend real-world physics with machine learning to deliver accurate predictions.

  • Self-Healing Troubleshooting: Automated fault detection and system recovery.

  • Adaptive Intelligence: Learns from operator behavior and adapts to site-specific workflows.

CVector is building the brain and nervous system for industrial assets,” said Richard Zhang, Co-Founder and CEO of CVector Energy. “We’re giving operators and engineers a foundation to plug in AI, understand system-wide behavior, and act with speed and precision. This round will help us bring that capability to even more mission-critical environments.”

Enterprise-Grade Security and Industrial Applications

CVector’s platform is already deployed across energy, chemicals, and advanced manufacturing sectors—from R&D labs to brownfield assets. The company recently achieved ISO 27001 certification (with SOC 2 Type II in progress), underscoring its commitment to enterprise-grade security and compliance.

Dr. Tyler Ruggles, Co-Founder and CTO, added:
With CVector, operators can run complex techno-economic modeling at the edge. It’s not just about insight—it’s about automated action and real operational lift.

Backed by Schematic Ventures

Investors see CVector as a cornerstone of the future of autonomous industrial systems.

CVector is solving one of the most fundamental gaps in industrial AI: making operational data truly usable,” said Julian Counihan, General Partner at Schematic Ventures. “Their platform is purpose-built for factories and field environments. We believe CVector will be foundational infrastructure for the autonomous industrial systems of tomorrow.”

Global Expansion Plans

Headquartered in Providence, Rhode Island, with offices in New York and Frankfurt, CVector plans to use the fresh funding to expand its team, accelerate product development, and scale deployments across the world’s most demanding industrial settings.

As industries push toward zero downtime, self-healing systems, and AI-driven efficiency, CVector Energy is positioning itself as the data backbone of industrial AI—bridging the gap between raw operational data and actionable intelligence.
