Testkube, the Continuous Testing Platform, has announced an $8 million Series A funding round led by existing investors Ratmir Timashev, co-founder of Veeam Software, and global software investor Insight Partners. The investment highlights a growing need for reliable software testing solutions as AI accelerates software development.
Pioneering Continuous Testing for AI and Cloud-Native Development
Founded in 2023 as a spin-off from Kubeshop, Testkube started as an open-source project to simplify running tests using existing on-prem infrastructure. Developers and platform engineers quickly adopted the platform for its ability to solve real-world testing challenges. Since then, Testkube’s Control Plane and open-source agent have evolved into a full enterprise platform, powering over 100 million automated tests for organizations ranging from startups to global enterprises like Cloudflare, Siemens, Adobe, and Volvo.
Dmitry Fonarev, CEO of Testkube, said:
“AI is rewriting the rules of software development, yet it also makes testing significantly harder. Traditional testing and CI/CD tools weren’t built for AI-driven or cloud-native scale. Testkube gives developers and platform teams the confidence to ship fast without sacrificing reliability – because untested software is unsafe software.”
Reinforcing Early Investor Confidence
Seed investors who supported Testkube from inception participated in the Series A round, reflecting confidence in the company’s approach to scaling automated testing. Testkube’s platform serves a diverse range of industries, including financial services, healthcare, tech, and government, emphasizing the critical need for automated, reliable testing at scale.
Continuous Testing at Scale
Testkube enables companies to synchronize testing tools and strategies—from API and end-to-end tests to load, security, and AI-behavior testing—directly within Kubernetes-native workflows. The platform offers full visibility and control across teams, environments, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines. Testkube can orchestrate popular testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, k6, and Postman, optimizing workflows for heterogeneous and scalable environments.
Ole Lensmar, CTO and Co-Founder of Testkube, stated:
“AI doesn’t just change what we build – it changes how we build. Development is becoming more autonomous, code is being generated by machines, and decisions are happening faster than humans can follow. That makes continuous testing the ultimate safety net. Testkube is the layer that can help ensure every change, human or AI-generated, is tested before it reaches production.”
Integrating AI into Testing
Testkube is actively integrating AI capabilities such as:
-
Intelligent test orchestration – deciding which tests to run and when
-
Automated remediation – suggesting fixes for failed tests
-
Adaptive performance testing – adjusting load configurations based on desired and actual outcomes
Ratmir Timashev added:
“AI is great at creating velocity, but without scalable quality, it’s a false sense of progress. Testkube ensures the gains from AI don’t come at the cost of reliability.”
Industry Recognition
Mike Triplett, Managing Director at Insight Partners, said:
“Cloud-native development and AI have changed the tempo of software creation. Testkube is addressing the next big bottleneck, helping ensure that testing keeps up with AI’s acceleration.”
With its Series A funding, Testkube aims to expand its platform capabilities, scale production-grade automated testing, and continue supporting enterprises in shipping software quickly without compromising reliability.
