Kia Appoints Hoo Gon Kim as President of Middle East & Africa Region

Dubai/Seoul — December 2025: Global mobility leader Kia Corporation has announced the appointment of Hoo Gon Kim as the new President of Kia Middle East and Africa (MEA), effective January 1, 2026. Kim succeeds SooHang Chang, who will transition to his new role as President and CEO of Kia Europe.

His career spans senior roles across the Middle East, Asia Pacific, and Europe, including assignments in vehicle assembly operations (CKD) and global performance management.

Kim has been instrumental in expanding Kia’s market share, improving operational performance, and spearheading new technologies and business models tailored to diverse regional markets. His global expertise and deep understanding of multi-market environments uniquely position him to lead Kia’s next phase of growth in the MEA region.
