Mumbai, India: IoT-enabled smart lock startup Ikin Global has secured $2 million in a Pre-Series A2 funding round, strengthening its plans to expand internationally and accelerate innovation in logistics security technology.

The funding round was led by Unicorn India Ventures, with participation from Callapina Capital and AWE Funds. The fresh capital will support the company’s growth across the United States, Europe, and West Asia, while also funding product innovation, team expansion, manufacturing scale-up, and operational growth.

Strengthening Supply Chain Security Through Smart Technology

Founded in 2012 by Nibu Alias, Ikin Global operates under SectorQube Technolabs and specializes in developing IoT-powered smart locks and intelligent bolt seals designed for logistics and supply chain companies.

Its technology enables real-time cargo monitoring through features such as:

  • Real-time tamper detection
  • Geo-fencing capabilities
  • Mobile-based access control
  • Digital audit trails
  • Remote monitoring and security management

These solutions help logistics operators improve cargo security, reduce theft risks, and gain greater visibility across transportation networks.

Rapid Growth in Deployments

The company has witnessed significant operational growth over the past year.

According to the startup, deployments expanded from approximately 2,500 trucks to more than 10,000 trucks, representing a fourfold increase in adoption.

During the same period, Ikin recorded over 5 million smart lock and unlock cycles, highlighting the increasing use of connected security solutions in commercial logistics operations.

The company has also successfully completed pilot projects with customers in the United States, United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom, validating the global potential of its technology platform.

Launches Two New Smart Security Products

Alongside the funding announcement, Ikin Global introduced two new products aimed at strengthening cargo and fleet security.

The first product, iBS Pro, is a reusable smart bolt seal designed for logistics and transportation applications.

The second, Smart GPS Truck Lock (iTSS), combines GPS-enabled tracking with AI-powered intrusion detection technology, enabling fleet operators to monitor vehicle security in real time and respond quickly to unauthorized access attempts.

Expanding Beyond Logistics

Founder and CEO Nibu Alias said the company plans to focus on obtaining international certifications and developing next-generation smart locks equipped with edge computing capabilities.

Over the next 12 to 18 months, Ikin aims to expand into several high-value sectors, including:

  • Oil and gas logistics
  • Defence supply chains
  • Cold chain transportation
  • Mining operations
  • Ocean freight
  • Railway cargo management
  • Cash transportation and management

The startup is also strengthening its sales, support, and service operations across India, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
