Experion Technologies Opens Largest Development Centre in Thiruvananthapuram to Expand AI-Native Engineering

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, Kerala, August 18, 2026: Experion Technologies has inaugurated a 58,000-square-foot development centre at Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram, marking the company’s largest development facility to date and strengthening its focus on AI-native product engineering.

The new centre will accommodate more than 700 engineers and operate as Experion’s AI Center of Excellence (AI CoE). The facility is designed to expand the company’s global delivery capabilities while supporting the development of AI-enabled software products for customers across international markets.

The centre was inaugurated by Dr. Tessy Thomas, the aerospace engineer and missile scientist known for her leadership roles in India’s Agni-IV and Agni-V missile programmes.

Experion Expands AI Engineering Capabilities

The new AI Center of Excellence will serve as the operational hub for Experion’s ARC AI-native product engineering framework.

The model integrates artificial intelligence throughout the software development lifecycle, covering areas such as:

  • Product discovery and design
  • Software engineering
  • AI model integration
  • Deployment
  • Continuous optimisation

Rather than treating AI as a standalone technology layer, Experion’s ARC framework is designed to incorporate AI into day-to-day product engineering processes.

The company said the approach is intended to help enterprises accelerate software development while maintaining engineering quality.

According to Experion Technologies Co-Founder and CEO Binu Jacob, customers using ARC have reported 15% to 30% reductions in project timelines, alongside improvements in development velocity, engineering productivity and time-to-market.

New Facility to Support Global Customers

The Thiruvananthapuram centre will bring together multidisciplinary engineering teams working across AI, product development and deployment.

Experion said the facility will support projects across several sectors, including:

The company’s customers are spread across markets including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and Japan.

The centre includes AI innovation labs, embedded IoT laboratories, rapid prototyping areas, collaborative engineering spaces and modern learning facilities. Employee wellness and development amenities are also part of the facility.

The company said the infrastructure is intended to encourage experimentation, collaboration and continuous upskilling among engineers.

Experion Launches ARC AI-Native Engineering Model

Alongside the new centre, Experion has introduced ARC, an operating model focused on AI-native product engineering.

The framework aims to integrate AI throughout the product lifecycle rather than limiting its use to individual development tasks.

The company believes this approach can help engineering teams move more efficiently from an initial product concept to deployment and ongoing optimisation.

Jacob said the new centre represents a long-term investment in expanding Experion’s ability to deliver AI-led innovation at scale while providing engineers with opportunities to work on complex product-engineering challenges for global customers.

FDE Academy to Prepare Engineers for AI Roles

Experion has also announced the Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) Academy, a programme designed to prepare engineers for customer-facing AI roles.

Forward Deployed Engineers will work directly with customers to identify business challenges, develop AI solutions and help deploy those solutions into production environments.

The academy will provide training through:

  • AI laboratories
  • Customer workshops
  • Mentoring programmes
  • Hackathons
  • Live projects

Engineers will also gain practical experience applying the ARC framework across different stages of the software development lifecycle.

Experion Technologies Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer Sreekumar Pillai said the company’s approach is based on the view that AI will change the role of engineers rather than simply replace them.
