BENGALURU, INDIA — August 26, 2026: Bengaluru-based agentic AI startup Runable has raised $21 million in Series A funding as it looks to expand its AI-powered platform for small businesses.
The funding round was co-led by Susquehanna Venture Capital and Nexus Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors Together Fund and Array VC.
Runable plans to use the new capital to expand its growth operations, strengthen its marketing capabilities and make its AI agents more autonomous in managing business campaigns.
Runable Raises $21 Million to Expand Agentic AI Platform
Founded in 2025 by Umesh Kumar and Saksham Sarda, Runable is building an AI platform designed to help small businesses manage and grow their operations through autonomous workflows.
Unlike conventional AI tools that primarily generate text or code, Runable’s platform is designed to execute a wider range of business tasks.
Using natural-language instructions, users can create:
- Websites
- Internal business applications
- Mobile apps
- Presentations
- Marketing assets
- Social media campaigns
- Advertising campaigns
- Customer-support workflows
The company’s broader goal is to give small businesses access to AI agents capable of handling operational and growth-related activities without requiring specialised technical expertise.
Runable Targets Small Business Owners
Runable primarily serves small business owners, with many users operating businesses with just two employees.
Its customer base includes agencies, consultancies, cleaning businesses and other small service companies across markets including the US, UK, Japan and Brazil.
The startup says its platform reached 1.5 million users and grew from zero to $2 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) within three weeks of launch.
Runable’s offering covers several areas of business growth, including paid advertising on platforms such as ChatGPT Ads, Meta, Google, LinkedIn and TikTok.
The platform also provides tools for social media management, cold email, direct messaging and voice calls.
AI Agents Designed to Take Action
A key focus of Runable’s strategy is moving AI from content generation toward autonomous execution.
The company plans to use part of the new funding to develop AI agents that can independently identify campaign opportunities and make changes to marketing campaigns.
This could allow small businesses to automate activities such as campaign optimisation, performance monitoring and customer engagement.
Runable also provides tools to monitor competitors and track brand sentiment, alongside search engine optimisation (SEO) and answer engine optimisation (AEO) capabilities.
The company is also developing customer-support tools that can automate parts of the interaction between businesses and their customers.
Runable Plans to Expand Marketing and Growth Capabilities
The fresh Series A funding will allow Runable to add more marketing channels and improve how businesses measure campaign performance.
The company also wants its AI agents to play a more active role in growth management.
Instead of simply recommending changes, the agents are expected to increasingly identify opportunities and execute campaign adjustments independently.
This approach reflects the broader shift in the AI industry from conversational assistants toward agentic AI systems capable of completing multi-step tasks.
Runable Academy to Help Small Businesses Adopt AI
Runable also plans to scale Runable Academy, a free learning module designed to help small business owners understand how to build and grow their businesses.
The initiative is intended to lower the barrier for entrepreneurs who may not have technical or marketing expertise.
The company also plans to expand its workforce, with hiring expected across:
- Engineering
- Machine learning
- Product
- Growth
- Customer support
These teams will support the development and expansion of Runable’s AI platform as the company targets a broader international customer base.
India’s Agentic AI Startup Ecosystem Expands
Runable’s funding comes as agentic AI becomes an increasingly important segment of India’s startup ecosystem.
A new generation of AI companies is focusing on systems that can perform tasks autonomously rather than simply respond to user prompts.
Other recently funded companies in India’s broader agentic AI ecosystem include Kapture, which raised $10 million in pre-Series B funding to advance its enterprise-focused agentic AI platform.
Edysor.ai has also secured ₹1.2 crore in pre-seed funding to develop voice and chat AI agents focused on automating lead qualification and conversion.
The growing investment activity indicates increasing interest in AI systems that can become embedded directly into business workflows.
What Runable Is Building
Runable is positioning itself as an AI operating layer for small businesses, bringing multiple functions together through natural-language interfaces and autonomous agents.
For smaller companies with limited budgets and lean teams, the ability to automate marketing, customer engagement, content creation and operational tasks could significantly reduce the amount of manual work involved in running a business.
The challenge will be ensuring that AI agents can execute these tasks reliably while maintaining the level of control businesses need over spending, customer communication and brand decisions.
With $21 million in new funding, Runable now has additional capital to build that infrastructure and expand its reach.
As AI agents move from answering questions to actually running workflows and making decisions, startups such as Runable are betting that small businesses could become one of the biggest markets for autonomous AI.
