NEW DELHI, September 3, 2026: Tech Mahindra has announced the launch of its Amazon Web Services (AWS) Agentic Process Transformation (APT) Center of Excellence (CoE), a strategic initiative aimed at helping enterprises move beyond artificial intelligence experimentation and deploy scalable, outcome-driven Agentic AI solutions.
The new Center of Excellence brings together Tech Mahindra Business Process Services (BPS) expertise with AWS cloud and Agentic AI capabilities to help businesses improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, strengthen decision-making and accelerate the transition from AI pilots to production deployments.
Tech Mahindra and AWS Target Enterprise Agentic AI Adoption
The AWS APT CoE is designed as a scalable AI execution engine through which enterprises can deploy industry-specific solutions across sectors including telecommunications, healthcare, banking and financial services, retail and manufacturing.
The initiative strengthens Tech Mahindra’s collaboration with AWS while expanding its ability to deliver governed, enterprise-scale AI transformation.
According to Tech Mahindra, the focus is not simply on deploying AI models but on integrating Agentic AI into business processes where it can generate measurable outcomes.
“Enterprises are moving quickly on AI, but many still struggle to scale beyond pilots and fragmented use cases,” said Birendra Sen, President – Business Process Services, Tech Mahindra. He added that the AWS APT CoE combines Tech Mahindra BPS’ process expertise with AWS-native AI capabilities to help customers operationalize Agentic AI with stronger governance, faster execution and measurable business impact.
Collections Guru Demonstrates Agentic AI in Production
The CoE is already supporting a production-focused use case through Collections Guru, an agentic AI-powered collections solution jointly developed by Tech Mahindra and AWS.
The solution was deployed by Target Group, a UK-based financial services outsourcing provider, to transform its arrears management operations.
Built on AWS cloud and AI infrastructure, Collections Guru autonomously optimizes collection strategies using Agentic AI. According to the companies, the solution delivered approximately 40% efficiency gains in the areas where it has been rolled out.
Katie Pender, Chief Operating Officer at Target Group, said the company is seeing encouraging early results from Collections Guru, including anticipated efficiency improvements of around 40% in deployed areas.
The use case highlights the type of production-grade AI solution Tech Mahindra and AWS intend to scale through the new Center of Excellence.
From AI Pilots to Measurable Business Outcomes
A major challenge facing enterprises is the gap between experimenting with AI and deploying it at scale. Organizations may develop individual AI pilots, but turning those initiatives into integrated, governed and repeatable business solutions remains a significant hurdle.
The AWS APT CoE is positioned to address this gap by combining:
- Industry and process expertise from Tech Mahindra BPS
- AWS cloud infrastructure and AI capabilities
- Agentic AI-powered automation
- Industry-specific solution development
- Governance and enterprise-scale deployment
- Faster pilot-to-production cycles
Chandra Pinapala, GSI Director at AWS, said a Center of Excellence can help partners and customers learn together, accelerate value creation and reimagine business processes with greater confidence.
Tech Mahindra Expands Its AI Services Strategy
The launch comes as businesses increasingly look toward AI agents that can perform multi-step tasks and make decisions within defined business processes rather than simply generate content or respond to queries.
For Tech Mahindra BPS, the AWS APT CoE is also expected to strengthen its AWS-powered AI services go-to-market strategy, creating new customer opportunities and scalable delivery models.
The company said the initiative will accelerate AI engagements through industry-focused innovation and execution, while helping organizations move toward production-grade Agentic AI.
Why It Matters
The launch reflects a broader shift in enterprise AI: the next competitive advantage may not come from experimenting with AI, but from operationalizing it at scale.
With the AWS APT CoE, Tech Mahindra is positioning Agentic AI as an execution layer for business transformation, with early results from Collections Guru providing a real-world example of how AI agents can be embedded into complex enterprise processes.
