Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate SEMICON India 2026 on September 17, 2026, at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, marking the opening of a three-day global semiconductor and electronics industry gathering focused on building India’s semiconductor ecosystem.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the event at around 10 AM and will also address participants from across the semiconductor and electronics value chain.
Organised from September 17 to 19, 2026, SEMICON India 2026 will be held under the theme “Silicon to Systems: Building the Ecosystem.” The event will bring together global and Indian semiconductor companies, policymakers, investors, researchers, startups, academic institutions and students.
SEMICON India 2026 to Focus on Building the Semiconductor Ecosystem
The conference will focus on strengthening collaboration, investment, innovation and talent development across India’s semiconductor and electronics industries.
The three-day programme will feature discussions and sessions covering multiple areas of the semiconductor value chain, including:
- Semiconductor manufacturing and fabrication
- Chip design and electronics systems
- Advanced packaging
- Semiconductor materials and equipment
- Display technologies
- AI and emerging technologies
- Workforce and talent development

One of the key attractions of SEMICON India 2026 will be the new “Sand to Silicon to Systems” Value Chain Experience.
The showcase will demonstrate the semiconductor journey across the broader ecosystem—from semiconductor materials and equipment to chip design, fabrication, advanced packaging, electronics and complete systems.
The value-chain approach is designed to provide visitors with a more integrated view of the technologies and businesses involved in semiconductor manufacturing and electronics production.
Over 600 Companies Expected at SEMICON India 2026
SEMICON India 2026 is expected to feature more than 600 participating companies and attract approximately 50,000 visitors.
The event will bring together participants from 52 countries, including more than 400 executives and over 150 speakers.
The international participation highlights the global focus of the event, with companies and stakeholders expected to explore opportunities across semiconductor manufacturing, technology, investment, supply chains and talent.
Six Country Pavilions and 12 State Booths
The exhibition will feature six Country Pavilions representing:
- Japan
- South Korea
- Malaysia
- The Netherlands
- Singapore
- Sweden
In addition, 12 Indian states will have dedicated booths showcasing their semiconductor, electronics and investment ecosystems.
The exhibition will also include a Startup Pavilion, Innovation Showcase, Student Hackathon and Workforce Development Pavilion.
These platforms are expected to provide startups, students and emerging technology companies with opportunities to demonstrate technologies, engage with industry participants and explore partnerships.
SEMICON India 2026 Brings Industry, Government and Academia Together
Beyond the exhibition floor, the event is positioned as a platform connecting different parts of the semiconductor ecosystem.
