BYJU’S named Himanshu Bajaj as Head of Business – BYJU’S Learning Centre

Himanshu Bajaj has been named Head of Business at BYJU’S Learning Centre, the world’s biggest edtech startup and inventor of India’s most popular school learning app.

Himanshu’s responsibilities will include overseeing the growth and extension of BYJU’S Learning Centre, as well as providing strategic business growth and thought leadership direction for the brand and company. Mrinal Mohit, BYJU’S Chief Operating Officer, would be his direct report.

By merging the finest of offline and online learning approaches, BYJU’S Learning Centre provides students with a hybrid model of learning. Students benefit from better online lectures offered by BYJU’s two-teacher model, which ensures deep conceptual clarity followed by practise sessions to clear up any remaining questions. Students can then attend weekly tutorial lessons at BYJU’S Learning Centre to fill in the gaps in their knowledge, reinforce what they’ve learned, prepare for exams, and track their progress monthly.

With over 18 years of consulting and industry experience working with the both public and private sectors, Himanshu has worked for leading local and global transformation programs for consumer goods and retail clients across Asia, Europe, and Africa. He has also led projects in sales and marketing, real estate, chemicals, energy, and logistics. His experience includes managing global projects as well as country-specific projects across India, Paris, UK, the US, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Dubai, South Africa.

Before joining BYJU’S, Himanshu worked with Kearney and led its Consumer and Retail practice across Asia Pacific. He has also worked with Fedex in Singapore and Hong Kong and TSMG in Mumbai. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the Delhi College of Engineering and has done his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst from the Association for Investment Management and Research.
