Jhaji Store Raises Undisclosed Amount From

Jhaji Store, a direct-to-consumer (D2C) company that sells authentic handcrafted achars online, has raised an unknown sum from, India’s largest revenue-based funder. Jhaji Store has raised its first round of external funding.

Jhaji Store is a women-led D2C firm that offers traditional homemade pickles from Darbhanga district in Bihar through their eCommerce store. It was founded in March 2021 by sister-in-law combo Kalpana and Uma. Jhaji Store sells over 15 distinct types of traditional homemade pickles that are free of artificial colours, preservatives, and other synthetic ingredients and are created right here in India.

People in Mithila have traditionally enjoyed pickles since forever. Some flavors and ingredients are unique in this area. Over the last 30 years, my sister-in-law and I have been making and sending these pickles to friends and family everywhere from New Delhi to New York. ” said Kalpana, Co-founder Jhaji Store.
