Dental care startup Smiles.ai raises $23M in Series A Funding

Smiles.ai, a healthcare business, has received $23 million in Series A funding from Alpha Wave Incubation (AWI). Existing investors Sequoia Capital India and Chiratae Ventures also participated in the round.

Hitesh Kakrani and Dr. Jatin Kakrani established Smiles.ai in 2019. To provide access to high-quality and cost-effective dental care goods and services, the firm uses unique technologies and qualified healthcare experts.

Through online consultations, clinic networks, and at-home services, the platform provides a variety of services. Smiles.ai, which has over 100 expert doctors, treats over 3,000 patients and performs over 5,000 diagnostics every month in Bangalore, Delhi-NCR, Pune, and Indore.

India’s dental care market has remained highly fragmented and without any significant technological disruption for decades.
