Tractor Junction, a rural vehicle marketplace based in Noida, revealed on Thursday that it had raised $5.7 million in a seed round headed by Info Edge Ventures and Omnivore.
Existing investors AgFunder GROW Impact Fund and Rockstart AgriFood Fund joined the round, as did angel investors such as Cars24 co-founders Vikram Chopra and Mehul Agrawal, Vellayan Subbiah, and Arun Venkatachalam from the Murugappa Group Company.
Tractor Junction, founded by Animesh Agarwal, Rajat Gupta, and Shivani Gupta in 2019, is a digital marketplace for buying, selling, financing, and insuring new and old tractors, farm equipment, and rural commercial vehicles.
Animesh, who graduated from IIM Shillong, previously led Cars24’s North India operations and previously worked for Mahindra’s farm equipment division in sales, channel growth, digitalisation, and strategy responsibilities. Rajat formerly owned and operated a Mahindra tractor dealership before co-founding Tractor Junction with Shivani Gupta in their hometown of Alwar, Rajasthan.
