In an angel fundraising round, VS Mani & Co, a speciality south Indian food firm, raised 2.5 crore.
According to a press release issued by the company, angel investors included Haresh Chawla, partner, True North Co; Anupam Mittal, founder and CEO Individuals Group; Ashish Hemrajani, founder & CEO, BookMyShow; Sidharth Rao, group CEO DentsuMB; RajanNavani, founder & CEO JetSynthesys; actor-producer Rana Daggubati; and Sattva Group’s household workplace
The Bengaluru-based firm plans to utilise the funds to expand its online-only business into new channels and expand its product portfolio to include south Indian delicacies.
It intends to expand through online markets and offline retail not only in India, but also internationally, where there is a significant diaspora to serve.
