Mankekar Family Office, Artha Venture Fund, Siddharth Shah, and API Holdings’ Dharmil Sheth, among others, led a $4.5 million pre-Series A fundraising round for Mumbai-based chess institution HobSpace.
The money will be used to expand internationally and speed up product development. HobSpace will also put the money on technology to improve the students’ entire experience.
HobSpace is a global chess learning platform that offers classes for children aged 3 to 14 to learn chess and prepare for international competitions. It was founded in 2019 by Priya Goel Sheth, Bhaskar Raju Konduru, Dharmil Sheth, Harsh Jain, and Nirupam Sheth.
