3D reconstruction platform Preimage raises $1.7 million in a seed round

Preimage, a cloud-based 3D reconstruction tool, has announced that it has raised USD 1.7 million in a seed round from eminent angel investors including pi Ventures, Better Capital, Java Capital, and others. Preimage’s AI-first technology builds lifelike 3D digital clones of settings and assets using pictures as input.

Preimage, a company founded by IIT graduates Ugam Kamat and Siddharth Jha, aims to improve the way virtual reality is modelled after the real world.

The business will use the additional funding to accelerate the development of its product, expand its workforce across business areas, and create a strong go-to-market strategy for its drone-based mapping and surveying use case.

Geometric measurements, visual inspections, 3D graphics, architectural modelling, archaeological preservation, and scientific simulations can all benefit from 3D digital clones. By offering a quick and automated processing workflow that can scale to processing tens of thousands of images, Preimage’s solution offers a seamless procedure for the creation of 3D digital clones.
