CoreWeave Enters India With 240 MW AI Data Center Campus in Navi Mumbai

October 8, 2026, Mumbai, India – AI cloud infrastructure provider CoreWeave has announced its entry into India through a collaboration with AdaniConneX, with plans to develop 240 megawatts (MW) of data center capacity in Navi Mumbai.

The expansion will extend CoreWeave’s AI Cloud platform into one of the world’s fastest-growing AI and digital infrastructure markets, providing specialized computing infrastructure for AI training, inference, reasoning and agentic AI workloads.

The planned campus will be located at AdaniConneX’s Taloja data center campus in Navi Mumbai.

CoreWeave Plans 240 MW AI Data Center Campus

Under the planned expansion, CoreWeave will occupy three buildings, each with 80 MW of capacity, at the AdaniConneX Taloja campus.

The company plans to deploy the NVIDIA Vera Rubin Platform on its AI Cloud infrastructure, bringing next-generation computing capabilities to customers developing and scaling advanced AI applications.

The infrastructure is intended to support increasingly demanding workloads, including:

  • AI model training
  • AI inference
  • Advanced reasoning
  • Agentic AI
  • High-performance computing

CoreWeave will be the sole tenant across the three planned buildings.

The company also said the campus could eventually support an additional 240 MW, potentially doubling the initial capacity.

First Phase Expected in Mid-2028

The first phase of the Navi Mumbai project is expected to become operational in mid-2028, with additional capacity scheduled to come online in phases.

The facilities are being designed specifically for high-density AI infrastructure.

The planned data center architecture includes direct liquid cooling for GPU data halls and a non-evaporative chilled-water system.

According to CoreWeave, the design is intended to accommodate future generations of AI computing technology as infrastructure requirements evolve.

CoreWeave to Establish India Office and Local Team

As part of its entry into India, CoreWeave plans to establish an India office and hire locally.

The company said the local presence will allow it to work more closely with customers and partners across India’s growing AI ecosystem.

Sachin Jain, Chief Operating Officer of CoreWeave, said India has the talent, developer community and ambition to become a major center for AI innovation.

He added that CoreWeave intends to invest in infrastructure, technology and local capabilities to support organizations building and scaling AI in India.

Supporting India’s Growing AI Infrastructure Demand

The expansion comes as India increases its focus on AI infrastructure and seeks to strengthen its position in the global artificial intelligence ecosystem.

CoreWeave said its India investment supports the country’s national AI ambitions, including the IndiaAI Mission, while responding to growing customer demand for specialized AI computing.

The company’s AI Cloud platform is designed to provide enterprises with the compute, software and services needed to develop, deploy and scale AI applications.

AdaniConneX Partnership Strengthens Data Center Footprint

The project brings together CoreWeave’s AI cloud infrastructure capabilities with AdaniConneX’s data center platform.

AdaniConneX is a 50:50 joint venture between Adani Enterprises and EdgeConneX and has been developing a data center infrastructure platform in India.

The company has outlined a vision to build a 1 GW data center platform, combining Adani Group’s infrastructure capabilities with EdgeConneX’s data center expertise.

The CoreWeave project adds another major AI-focused deployment to the country’s growing data center ecosystem.

CoreWeave Expands Global AI Infrastructure Network

India represents another step in CoreWeave’s international expansion.

The company already has a presence across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific, and recently expanded into Indonesia as part of its Asia-Pacific strategy.

As of CoreWeave’s August 11, 2026 earnings call, the company had approximately 4.2 gigawatts of contracted power, according to the announcement.

The India project therefore adds another significant market to CoreWeave’s expanding AI infrastructure footprint.

AI Infrastructure Designed for High-Density Computing

Unlike traditional enterprise data centers, AI infrastructure requires significantly greater computing density and increasingly sophisticated cooling systems.

CoreWeave’s planned Navi Mumbai campus is being designed specifically around these requirements.

The use of direct liquid cooling and a non-evaporative chilled-water system reflects the growing infrastructure demands associated with advanced GPU deployments and large-scale AI workloads.

The ability to accommodate future computing generations is also becoming increasingly important as AI models become more computationally intensive.

What CoreWeave’s India Entry Means for the AI Ecosystem

CoreWeave’s planned 240 MW AI data center campus represents a significant investment in India’s AI infrastructure landscape.

The project could provide enterprises, AI developers and technology companies with access to specialized compute capacity closer to their operations in India.

It also highlights the growing convergence between AI cloud platforms, data centers, advanced GPUs and national AI strategies.

As AI adoption expands across industries, access to reliable, high-density computing infrastructure is becoming an increasingly important factor in the development and deployment of AI applications.
