Cent Raises $15 Million in Series A Funding for Preventive Healthcare

Bengaluru, 27th October, 2026:  – Bengaluru-based preventive health startup Cent has raised $15 million in a Series A funding round co-led by Blume Ventures and South Park Commons. The company plans to strengthen its AI-driven medical imaging capabilities, expand clinical research and build a technology-led preventive healthcare platform for India.

India’s preventive healthcare sector is attracting fresh investor interest as startups explore ways to identify serious medical conditions before symptoms emerge. Bengaluru-based Cent has raised $15 million in Series A funding, including equity and debt, to expand its preventive health intelligence platform and invest in artificial intelligence, medical imaging and clinical research.

The funding round was co-led by Blume Ventures and existing investor South Park Commons (SPC). Other participants include former Vodafone CEO Arun Sarin, former OpenAI B2B CTO Srinivas Narayanan, Sharath Narayana, Krishna Sridhar and Aprameya Radhakrishna.

Founded in 2025, Cent aims to shift healthcare from a primarily treatment-led model towards earlier detection, personalised health monitoring and preventive intervention.

Cent Plans to Scale AI-Powered Preventive Healthcare

Cent was founded by Shashank ND, founder of Practo and OneFlow Holdings; Anshul Khandelwal, former chief marketing officer of Ola Electric; and Arpit Garg, former product head at Lenskart.

The founders established the company to address a persistent challenge in India’s healthcare system: conditions such as cardiovascular disease, cancer and metabolic disorders are frequently identified only after symptoms develop.

Cent is developing an integrated preventive healthcare platform that combines purpose-built hardware, AI-powered radiology, diagnostic testing and bioinformatics. Its goal is to identify potential health risks earlier and help individuals monitor their health over time.

The latest capital will support research and development, strengthen the company’s artificial intelligence and engineering capabilities, and expand its clinical teams.

Cent has reported completing 10,000 preventive whole-body scans across Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi NCR since its inception. The company has also set a long-term target of reaching 10 million scans by 2035.

Blume Ventures and South Park Commons Back Cent’s Vision

Investors see an opportunity to develop preventive healthcare infrastructure that can support earlier diagnosis and more effective clinical decision-making.

Karthik Reddy, co-founder and managing partner at Blume Ventures, said the firm was impressed by the team’s ambition to improve diagnostic accuracy and develop protocols for cancer and other medical conditions. He added that the company’s long-term vision could extend beyond India.

Prateek Mehta, general partner at South Park Commons India, highlighted the potential impact of early detection and said the firm was pleased to support Cent as it develops preventive healthcare infrastructure.

Cent co-founder Anshul Khandelwal said the company’s initial 10,000 scans had demonstrated the need for more precise and accessible preventive care. The new investment will allow Cent to deepen its work in AI, medical imaging and clinical research.

Cent Acquires AI Radiology Platform Medsee

Alongside the funding announcement, Cent has acquired Medsee, an AI-powered radiology reporting workflow platform founded by Chitra Singh.

Medsee is designed for qualified medical professionals. Its technology helps draft structured radiology reports and highlight findings for review by radiologists.

The acquisition is expected to support Cent as it increases scan volumes and seeks to improve the speed and consistency of its reporting processes. Medical professionals remain responsible for reviewing findings and interpreting results.

The move also strengthens Cent’s focus on integrating artificial intelligence into its diagnostic workflow, connecting medical imaging with structured reporting and clinical review.

What Does Cent Check Include?

Cent’s flagship offering, Cent Check, combines multiple diagnostic procedures in a single appointment lasting approximately two hours.

According to the company, the assessment includes:

  • Full-body magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  • Low-dose computed tomography (CT)
  • Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA)
  • Electrocardiography (ECG)
  • Echocardiography (ECHO)
  • More than 100 biomarkers

These assessments are delivered under Cent’s proprietary CCNM™ Protocol.

The company’s AI systems bring diagnostic results together to create a consolidated view of an individual’s health. Specialist doctors review the findings, after which members receive a doctor-led health plan and ongoing support throughout the year.

By combining imaging, laboratory markers and clinical assessment, Cent aims to give members a more comprehensive picture of their health than a collection of isolated test results can provide.

The suitability of individual screening tests can vary depending on a person’s age, medical history and risk factors. Potential benefits and limitations should therefore be discussed with qualified healthcare professionals.

One in Four Members Had Findings Requiring Action, Says Cent

Cent says its early screening data points to the potential value of identifying health concerns among people who may not be experiencing symptoms.

According to the company, one in four members who felt well before their assessment had a finding that warranted action, while one in 40 required immediate medical attention. The company cited examples including early-stage tumours, significantly narrowed arteries and aneurysms.

These figures are based on Cent’s reported experience and should not be interpreted as estimates for the wider Indian population. The clinical significance of screening findings depends on the underlying condition, the population being screened and the follow-up assessment.

Nevertheless, the results highlight the role that diagnostic testing can play in uncovering previously unrecognised health issues. They also underscore the importance of ensuring that abnormal findings are reviewed by medical professionals and followed by appropriate care.

Building an Indian Health Dataset for Earlier Disease Detection

Cent intends to use data generated through its scans to develop a deeper understanding of health patterns among people who do not have apparent symptoms.

The company plans to build Indian health reference baselines, train AI models to identify potential disease risks earlier and support clinical research.

This approach could help improve the relevance of diagnostic tools for Indian populations. However, the reliability of AI-based risk assessment depends on factors such as data quality, representativeness, clinical validation and ongoing evaluation.

As the company’s dataset expands, Cent will need to ensure that its models are rigorously tested and that patient information is handled securely and responsibly.

Its ambition is to create a preventive healthcare system in which technology supports doctors in identifying risks, interpreting results and developing personalised care plans.

Can Preventive Healthcare Become a Larger Market in India?

India’s healthcare system has traditionally placed substantial emphasis on diagnosing and treating illness after patients seek medical attention. Preventive healthcare offers a different approach by prioritising risk assessment, early investigation and continued monitoring.

Cent is entering this space with a model that brings advanced imaging, laboratory testing, AI-assisted analysis and specialist review into a coordinated service.

The opportunity is accompanied by challenges. Advanced diagnostic packages can be expensive, and access to specialised equipment and clinical expertise remains uneven across the country. Screening programmes must also balance the benefits of early detection against the possibility of false positives, unnecessary follow-up procedures and avoidable anxiety.

For preventive healthcare to reach a broader population, providers will need to demonstrate clinical value, maintain high standards of medical oversight and develop services that are accessible to people beyond premium urban markets.

Cent’s next phase will test whether its integrated model can expand while maintaining diagnostic quality and delivering meaningful outcomes for members.

What’s Next for Cent?

With $15 million in new funding and the acquisition of Medsee, Cent plans to expand its research, technology and clinical capabilities as it works towards its target of 10 million scans by 2035.

The company’s longer-term strategy combines medical imaging, AI-driven intelligence and longitudinal health monitoring. Its progress will depend on how effectively it can translate diagnostic data into clinically useful insights, maintain trust and scale its services.

As India explores new approaches to healthcare delivery, Cent’s expansion reflects a broader shift towards identifying health risks earlier rather than relying exclusively on treatment after symptoms appear.

For Cent, the challenge ahead is not simply to conduct more scans, but to make preventive healthcare accurate, clinically responsible and accessible at scale.
