InstaAstro Raises $12M Series A to Build AI Tools for India’s Spiritual Wellness Market

Dubai, August 27, 2026 –  InstaAstro, a Gurugram-based spiritual wellness platform, has raised $12 million in a Series A round led by Singularity AMC and Artha Venture Fund, according to a report from published August 27, 2026. Founder Nitin Verma and Artha managing partner Anirudh Damani also participated in the round in their personal capacities.

The raise was also confirmed the same day in and in a roundup by, which tracked it alongside other Indian deals that closed the same day.

The company said it will direct a significant share of the new capital toward AI-led product development, including sentiment analysis and multilingual support, while also expanding its online pooja (religious ritual) services and building out its spiritual commerce business, per Inc42’s reporting.

From Astrology App to Spiritual Commerce Platform

Verma founded InstaAstro in 2021, initially positioning it as an on-demand astrology consultation app connecting users with practitioners over chat and call. The platform has since broadened into what the company describes as a full-stack spiritual wellness business spanning astrology, tarot, numerology and vastu consultations, alongside pooja services and product sales tied to those categories.

InstaAstro now counts more than 5,000 verified experts on its platform, up from roughly 1,500 at the time of its previous funding round, and says it serves users across 183 countries with 12 million registered users to date. Overseas markets already account for about a quarter of revenue, the company said, as it pushes further into international expansion alongside its core Indian user base.

Funding History and Financials

The Series A follows a ₹18.5 crore pre-Series A round InstaAstro closed in May 2024, also led by Artha Venture Fund, according to prior reporting from [Entrackr](https://entrackr.com/2024/05/instaastro-raises-2-3-mn-led-by-artha-venture-fund/) and [Outlook Business](https://www.outlookbusiness.com/corporate/instaastro-raises-230-million-in-pre-series-a-led-by-artha-venture-fund). That earlier round totaled roughly $2.3 million.

The gap between rounds — more than two years — coincides with a period in which InstaAstro says its business scaled meaningfully. The company reported crossing ₹200 crore (about $21 million) in annualized revenue, with operating revenue rising 113% to ₹111 crore in fiscal year 2026, up from ₹52 crore a year earlier, according to figures cited in Inc42’s report. ENN has not independently verified these financial figures beyond the cited reporting and notes they are company-disclosed, not audited public filings.

Why It Matters

India’s astro-tech and spiritual commerce sector has drawn steady venture interest over the past several years, positioned at the intersection of consumer app growth and a large addressable market for religious and wellness services. Competitors in the space include platforms like AstroTalk and Astroyogi, which have similarly scaled expert marketplaces around astrology consultations.

InstaAstro’s pivot toward AI tooling — specifically sentiment analysis and multilingual support — reflects a broader pattern among Indian consumer startups layering generative AI features onto existing marketplace models to improve personalization and reach non-English-speaking users across India’s linguistically diverse population.

The size of this round, at $12 million, is notably larger than InstaAstro’s prior raise and signals investor confidence in the company’s shift from a pure consultation marketplace toward a broader commerce and services platform, though it remains a modest figure relative to larger consumer tech rounds in the Indian startup ecosystem this year.

Editor’s Note on Sourcing

ENN reviewed same-day Indian startup coverage for August 27, 2026, and found this InstaAstro raise as a distinct, separately verifiable story from InspeCity’s ₹100 crore pre-Series A round, which is covered separately in ENN’s 1400 edition. Both deals were reported on the same day by multiple outlets tracking India’s startup funding activity.
