Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. has appointed Krishnan V V as Managing Director and Country Head for India and South Asia, strengthening its leadership team as businesses across the region accelerate cloud adoption, digital transformation and artificial intelligence initiatives.
The appointment comes at a time when cybersecurity requirements are expanding beyond traditional network protection to include cloud environments, AI systems, digital workspaces and increasingly complex enterprise infrastructures.

The company also maintains a significant research and development presence in the country, supporting global product architecture, cybersecurity innovation and AI-driven security capabilities. Krishnan V V to Lead India and South Asia Operations
In his new role, Krishnan will oversee Check Point’s business strategy, P&L performance, go-to-market execution and organisational development across India and South Asia.
His mandate will include:
- Strengthening strategic customer engagement
- Expanding executive and government relationships
- Growing the company’s partner ecosystem
- Accelerating adoption of Check Point’s prevention-first cybersecurity platform
- Supporting customers as they adopt cloud and AI technologies
- Building teams and capabilities across the region
Check Point’s India operations include a Bengaluru office, with the company’s official contact directory listing its India presence in Bengaluru.
Focus on AI Security and Digital Transformation
As enterprises increasingly deploy AI applications and cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity is becoming an integral part of technology transformation strategies.
Krishnan’s responsibilities will span Check Point’s four strategic pillars:
- Hybrid Mesh Network Security
- Workspace Security
- Exposure Management
- AI Security
The company said the focus will include helping organisations protect AI systems and applications, use AI for threat detection and prevention, and establish appropriate governance around AI use across the workforce.
Check Point has been expanding its AI-security portfolio in 2026, including initiatives around agentic security, AI network protection and exposure validation.
Krishnan’s Cybersecurity Leadership Experience
Before joining Check Point, Krishnan served as Country Director – BFSI at Palo Alto Networks, where he was responsible for strategic growth and customer outcomes across India’s financial services sector.
His previous leadership experience includes senior roles at Seclore, Symantec, Oracle, Sun Microsystems and Wipro.
Across these organisations, he has worked on enterprise sales, partner ecosystems, business transformation and relationships with enterprise and government customers across India, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
Check Point Strengthens India Growth Strategy
India has become an important technology, talent and innovation hub for global cybersecurity companies as enterprises expand their digital infrastructure and AI deployments.
Check Point said Krishnan will work with customers, partners and internal teams to strengthen its presence across India and South Asia and support organisations navigating the changing cybersecurity environment.
Krishnan will report to Ruma Balasubramanian, President, Asia Pacific & Japan at Check Point Software Technologies, and will join the regional leadership organisation.
Balasubramanian said Krishnan’s customer and partner relationships, cybersecurity experience and leadership background position him to lead the company’s India and South Asia business.
