Pepper Content raises $14 million for US expansion

Pepper Content, a content marketplace, revealed on June 9 that it has raised $14.3 million in a Series A fundraising round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, as the company wants to expand its position in the US and branch out into additional categories.

Pepper Content, founded in 2017 by Anirudh Singla and Rishabh Shekhar, enables businesses to scale their content marketing efforts by connecting them with freelance content creators such as writers, graphic designers, language translators, videographers, editors, and illustrators through its talent marketplace network.

The startup claims to have over 100,000 freelancers on its platform and over 2,500 customers, with over 1,000 of them being corporations and fast-growing startups.
