Mumbai, India: Butterfly Learnings, a Mumbai-based startup focused on behavioural health and developmental support for children, has raised ₹65 crore (approximately $6.7 million) in a Pre-Series B funding round.
The round was led by Inflexor Ventures, with existing investors Enzia Ventures, Insitor Impact Asia Fund and IIMA Ventures also participating.
The fresh capital will help Butterfly Learnings expand its network beyond Maharashtra, invest in technology and artificial intelligence, and increase access to autism screening and therapist training programmes.
Butterfly Learnings Plans Expansion Across India
Founded in 2021 by Dr. Sonam Kothari and Dr. Abhishek Sen, Butterfly Learnings provides behavioural healthcare and developmental support for children with autism, ADHD and learning disabilities.
The company currently operates more than 90 centres across 22 cities in India.
With the latest funding, Butterfly Learnings plans to establish a larger presence in markets outside Maharashtra and reach more families seeking specialised developmental and behavioural support.
Technology and AI to Support Child Healthcare
Alongside its physical centre network, Butterfly Learnings uses digital health solutions and technology-enabled tools to support children and their families.
The startup plans to use part of the new funding to strengthen its technology and AI capabilities. It also intends to expand its autism screening programmes and therapist training initiatives.
The focus on technology is aimed at improving access to behavioural healthcare while supporting professionals working in the sector.
Building a Larger Therapist Network
Butterfly Learnings also operates a training institute designed to help therapists strengthen their skills in behavioural healthcare.
The company plans to expand this training ecosystem as it grows its presence across India. Developing a larger pool of trained professionals could support the startup’s expansion into new cities and improve access to specialised services.
Funding Supports Butterfly Learnings’ Next Growth Phase
The Pre-Series B round marks another step in Butterfly Learnings’ expansion as it builds a broader platform for children’s behavioural health and developmental support.
With more than 90 centres already operating across 22 Indian cities, the startup is now looking to combine physical care centres, digital health technology, AI tools and professional training to expand access to families across the country.
The new capital from Inflexor Ventures and existing investors is expected to support this next phase of geographic expansion and technology development.
